Snook
Snook are usually are a greenish silver color over the majority of their body, and their fins are a very distinctive yellow color, they are a great tasting fish, and it is caught by anglers with a rod and reel, and by commercial fishing vessels using nets.
Snook are not only caught by anglers with rod and reel because they make a tasty meal, they are also little warriors, who put up a heck of a fight for their body size, making them very exciting to catch.
Snook are a very hardy fish, as they are able to live just fine in water that is fresh as well as salt water. They love hanging around shore lines and coastal areas as well as channels and inland ports. Usually where they live there will be an abundant supply of large rocks and other barriers they can hunt for food around, and to help hide from predators, this sometimes makes them hard to catch by the commercial fishing vessels that are using nets.
Snook feed on a large assortment of food including live crabs, shrimp, other small fish and even small plants, not only will they eat live creatures and plants, they will readily consume dead crabs, shrimp and fish.
